When you use our website, we also use Google Analytics, which is a web analytics tool that helps us understand how visitors utilize and engage with the website. We can view a variety of reports about how visitors interact with our website so we can improve it. Google Analytics collects this information anonymously. Google Analytics reports website trends without identifying individual visitors.
Google Analytics uses first-Party cookies to track visitor information. Every computer and device connected to the Internet is assigned a unique number known as an Internet protocol (“IP”) address. Since these numbers are usually assigned in country-based blocks, an IP address can often be used to identify the country, state, and city from which a computer is connecting to the Internet. Google Analytics collects the IP address of website visitors in order to provide website owners a feeling of where their website visitors are located. This method is known as IP geolocation.
Google Analytics does not report the actual IP address information to Google Analytics customers. Additionally, using a method known as IP masking, website owners that use Google Analytics have the option to tell Google Analytics to only use a portion of the IP address, rather than the entire IP address, for geolocation. Whether or not website owners use Google Analytics, they have access to IP addresses for visitors to their site.
Personal Information is information that personally identifies you, such as your name, email address, or billing information, or other data, which can be reasonably linked to such information. This website does not utilize Google Analytics to collect any personal information.
When You Purchase Tickets
When you purchase tickets online at CityCinema.net, we record your name, email address, telephone number, the date and time of the film you're purchasing tickets for, and the number and type of tickets purchased. We then pass your email address and purchase information to PayPal for payment processing, where you can pay by credit card or by using your PayPal account. Upon successful payment, PayPal sends back an acknowledgement of payment to us, and we issue you a ticket by email. At no time are we sent, or can we access, the specifics of your payment (how you paid, your credit card number, your PayPal balance, or any other information related to your PayPal account): the only information we receive from PayPal is a transaction number and indication that your payment was successful.
We retain your name, email address, telephone number, the date and time of the film you're purchasing tickets for in our database to allow us to verify your tickets when you arrive at City Cinema for the show and, after the fact, for reporting and auditing purposes.
When you make a ticket purchase, in addition to the information we send to Google Analytics outlined above, we also send anonymous information about your ticket purchase to Google Analytics to allow us to report in ticket purchases in the context of other use of our site. This information is only used in aggregate, and does not identify you personally.
Accepting what's outlined above, we do not share any of your ticket purchase information with third parties, and it is only available to ticket staff for ticket verification.
