In the near future, a charismatic leader summons the street gangs of New York City in a bid to take it over. When he is killed, The Warriors are falsely blamed and now must fight their way home while every other gang is hunting them down.
"It's insane, crazy, silly and cool all at the same time. In the 70s and 80s some directors had no problem making films that existed in some sort of alternate unrealistic reality when it was their only option to make the movie they wanted. It's a lost art really. The Warriors is one of the best examples of this."
